Predictive chemoproteomics and functional genetics reveal Coeae6g-driven insecticide resistance in the malaria vector

IMBB researchers collaborating with LSTM, UK, applied a predictive chemoproteomic framework with activity-based protein profiling, identified and functionally validated carboxylesterase Coeae6g as a novel mediator of resistance to insecticides, the cornerstones of the malaria transmitting mosquitoes’ control, with important implications for disease prevention.
